Differently
I can't shake the feeling
I've had since I met you.
About the things behind your back
that you couldn't hear.
You say Don't treat me differently
I grin, but cry on the inside
because of the dare that started off innocent.
If we knew then
what we knew now
would we have done it?
No,
but you don't want to be treated differently.

Stalker
OK, so I sometimes publish my stories online. No biggie. But I got a review from someone who I don't know ( I DO have an idea who it is) and it is FREAKING ME OUT!!! It was creepy and lets be frank, stalkerish! But I think I know who it is (dum, dum, dum!).

Gossip Girl
Okay, so I had my little "Gossip Girl" moment last post, but I don't really want all my blogs to be about the 'D' triangle. The only problem is that I could do the "Sightings" bit because I'm not a creepy stalker. Or am I?

WARNING: drama!
I never thought that I would say this- but I am a bit sorry for Twidledum. Twidledoofus (changed from Twidledee) is going out with Dorkus and Dorkus says mean things about Twidledum and Twidledoofus agrees with Dorkus. Looks like D day for DD.

Countdown
I'm pretty excited-two days until my birthday. Today we did an ice hand experiment at school. We had to put 500 mls of water in a latex glove and freeze it. Then we had to put an insulator around it. It was funny because Dorkus' inslator was tinfoil and he was really confident hat he had "the best one" and I went up to him and said "doesn't tin foil conduct heat?"

Alice in (a winter) wonderland
Tomorrow at school it is Character day, which means dressing up as a character from a book. I am going as Alice from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. I was going to wear my Korean dress (Ham bok) as are two other girls who went on the Korea/ Japan trip, but I decided that I would have much more fun as Alice, even though I won't look much like her!

Missing person
Just a couple of lines to prove that I am alive and that none of my non existent blog readers have filed a missing person report. (Like anyone would.) The trip was fantastic, but it's always great to come home. I was teary eyed before I even saw mum at the airport. She was crying! Pull on my heart strings, why don't you?

Holiday
If we took a holiday
Took some time to celebrate
Just one day out of life
It would be, it would be so nice
Everybody spread the word
Were gonna have a celebration
All across the world
In every nation
Its time for the good times
Forget about the bad times,
oh yeah
One day to come together
To release the pressure
We need a holiday
(chorus)
You can turn this world around
And bring back all of those happy days
Put your troubles downIts time to celebrate
Let love shine
And we will find
A way to come togethe
rAnd make things better
We need a holiday
(chorus)
Holiday celebrate
Holiday celebrate
(chorus)
Holiday celebrate
Holiday celebrate
Holiday, celebration
Come together in every nation
IT'S THE HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good feeling!
I was going on my good friend's Vivian(e!)'s blog and I saw this post:
Thankyou.
I have a friend who got asked out by someone who she doesn't like. I'm SO glad that she said "no way!" This friend of mine has trouble sticking up for herself sometimes, so I'm glad that she rejected him. I'm just a bit worried that when we go to different high schools, she might get alot of peer pressure and she won't have the fierce Bee around her!!! (OK, so I might have dressed myself up a bit there.) Never give into peer preasure and learn how to say "no! that's not for me". It could end up helping you more than you could know.
Bee.
I don't know why you came up to me in school that you thought If I got mad at you for posting that. You know, I don't forget that post.Infact, I appreciate it.You have no idea how much Ill miss you in school.........
Gave me warm fuzzies! Love ya, V!

Sleep talking
Dad told me this morning that last night I was sleep talking! He was going to bed and he heard me "chattering" to myself. He said that he couldn't make out what I was saying though, and that he was tempted to tape me. It would have been cool if he had, cause I might have worked out what I was saying, and in a way it would dead embarrassing.

Chumbawamba lyrics
We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to
Keep me down
He sings the songs that
Remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that
Remind him
Of the better times
Just some of the lyrics, the bits that are relevant to me. Except that I'm not a he....

Blabberings on of a schoolgirl :P
So yeaterday a boy in my brother's class went around asking girls out at lunch (I was one of them, he went: Wanna go out? I said: Nah!). I don't mind that much but he told his class before lunch that he was going to ask ugly girls out. Nice way to boost self esteem, Keegan (don't even want to bother giving him a fake name). Although,he is the kind of person that would just lunch at that. He's also the kind of person who at fitness says to his mates "I need to be fit but fat." (?!)

My day (again)
So today we did cricket and Mr M told me that I was the best player!!!!! I was the only girl to retire (it was boys vs. girls) and he also said that I was the straightest bowler! And then he came into rm 18 to tell Tracey and everyone looked at me and clapped, it was amazing.
At my brother's maritial art class a boy sat down behind me and I was looking up at the door waiting for my friend Lauren to come and he was staring at me like "why are you looking at me?" Even though I wasn't. But I knew him and he didn't know me. I went to drama classes with him a couple of years ago. Needless to say, he moved.

My day
Not much happened today, but I'll tell you about it anyway. When I was playing cricket today this boy in my class kept pushing me so I chased him (with a cricket bat). I had to go into the boy's toilets 'cos he was hiding in there. It's alot smaller than I thought it would be.
Also, I got out of school early today because my mum had an appointment at the hospital, and then we had fish and chips in Devonport. I love Devonport, I think that it is just gorgeous.
Love,

Lyrics to Do they know it's Christmas time by Band Aid 20
[Chris Martin:]It's Christmastime, there's no need to be afraid
At Christmastime, we let in light and we banish shade
[Dido:]And in our world of plenty we can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world at Christmastime
[Robbie Williams:]But say a prayer, Pray for the other ones
At Christmastime it's hard, but when you're having fun
[Sugababes:]There's a world outside your window
And it's a world of dread and fear
[Fran Healy:]Where the only water flowing
[Fran Healy & Sugarbabes:]Is the bitter sting of tears
[Fran Healy & Justin Hawkins:]And the Christmas bells that ring there are the clanging chimes of doom
[Bono:]Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you
[Will Young & Jamelia:]And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life
[Ms Dynamite & Beverly Knight:]Where nothing ever grows
No rain nor rivers flow
[Group of ten and Joss Stone:]Do they know it's Christmastime at all?
[Tom Chaplin (Keane):]Here's to you
[Justin Hawkins (Darkness):]Raise a glass for everyone
[Dizzee Rascal:]Spare a thought this yuletide for the deprived
If the table was turned would you survive
[Busted:]Here's to them
[Justin Hawkins (Darkness):]Underneath that burning sun
[Dizzee Rascal:]You ain't gotta feel guilt just selfless
Give a little help to the helpless
[Joss Stone & Justin Hawkins:]Do they know it's Christmastime at all?
[Tom Chaplin:]Feed the world
[Tom Chaplin & Chris Martin:]Feed the world
[Tom Chaplin & Chris Martin & Sugababes:]Feed the world
[Tom Chaplin & Chris Martin & Sugababes:]Feed the world
[Everyone in full chorus line.]Feed the world Let them know it's Christmastime again - [repeated]
[Group of ten:]Feed the world
[Everyone in full chorus line.]Feed the world - [repeated to end]

Things on my mind
"First things first, but not necessarily in that order."- Dr Who.
OK, so I've got a lot of things going on at the mo, so I'm v. glad that we've been assigned less homework this year. Exams again this year (why did I sign up for another one?????) and the dreaded Korean lessons. I remember saying once "why can't Korea just learn English?"
I read an article today that said that Seoul (the capital of South Korea, with only 40% of the maximum 60 points) is the 4 least polite city in the world. They did tests and researchers followed people into buildings to see if people would hold the door, drop papers over a busy street seeing if people would help, and seeing if shopkeepers said a simple 'thank you' to a customer after a purchase. Auckland got 7th place with 67% and the people over the ditch in Sydney got 47% (ha!).
Something else I'd like to talk about is Michael Phelps smoking marijuana. I knew it!!!!!!! I said all the time during the Olympics that Michael Phelps and any Australians that won a medal were on drugs. This boy in my class would just die if he read that part (he's an Ozzie).
Today we had a writing test where we had to imagine being a grandparent telling their grandchild about a memory from their childhood. And, much to my embarrassment, I said a little too loudly "I don't want wrinkles!" Anyway, I based my story loosely on Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells. It's an amazing book about a daughter finding out a lot of things she didn't know about her mother through her mother's old scrapbook. It makes me wonder what my parents were like before they had kids. Here's a quote from Bill Gates that my mum's had on the pinboard since I can remember:
Rule #1. Life is not fair. Get used to it. The average teenager uses the phrase "it's not fair" 8.6 times a day. You got it from your parents, who said it so often you decided they must be the most idealistic generation ever. When they started hearing it from their own kids, they realized rule no. 1
Rule #2. The real world won't care as much about your self-esteem as your school does. It'll expect you to accomplish something before you feel good about yourself. This may come as a shock. Usually, when inflated self-esteem meets reality, kids complain that it's not fair. (See Rule No. 1)
Rule #3. Sorry, you won't make $50,000 a year right out of high school. And you won't be a vice president or have a car phone either. You may even have to wear a uniform that doesn't have a Gap label.
Rule #4. If you think your teacher is tough, wait 'til you get a boss. He doesn't have tenure, so he tends to be a bit edgier. When you screw up, he is not going ask you how feel about it.
Rule #5. Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping. They called it opportunity. They weren't embarrassed making minimum wage either. They would have been embarrassed to sit around talking about Kurt Cobain all weekend.
Rule #6. It's not your parents' fault. If you screw up, you are responsible. This is the flip side of "It's my life," and "You're not the boss of me," and other eloquent proclamations of your generation. When you turn 18, it's on your dime. Don't whine about it or you'll sound like a baby boomer.
Rule #7. Before you were born your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way paying your bills, cleaning up your room and listening to you tell them how idealistic you are. And by the way, before you save the rain forest from the blood-sucking parasites of your parents' generation try delousing the closet in your bedroom.
Rule #8. Life is not divided into semesters, and you don't get summers off. Nor even Easter break. They expect you to show up every day. For eight hours. And you don't get a new life every 10 weeks. It just goes on and on.
Rule #9. Television is not real life. Your life is not a sitcom. Your problems will not all be solved in 30 minutes, minus time for commercials. In real life, people actually have to leave the coffee shop to go to jobs. Your friends will not be perky or as polite as Jennifer Aniston.
Rule #10. Be nice to nerds. You may end up working for them. We all could.
Rule #11. Enjoy this while you can. Sure, parents are a pain, school's a bother, and life is depressing. But someday you'll realize how wonderful it was to be kid. Maybe you should start now.

My new years resolution
Last year my new years resolution was not to have a new years resolution. This year it is to stop being self consious and wear the things I want to. So this year I'm going to get short shorts and a bikini (well, that's the plan). I've decided to grow my hair back. I want to look like Maddy Lee in The Sleepover Club (my newest obsession, the one before was Keira Knightley).

Banoffee pie (quotes from Love Actually)
Juliet: Banoffee pie?
Mark: No, thanks.
Juliet: Thank God. You would've broken my heart if you'd said yes.
Mark: Oh, right. Well, lucky you.
Juliet: I thought I might be able to swap it for some pie or... or maybe Munchies?
Mark: Actually, I was being serious. I don't know where it is. I'll have a poke around tonight... Juliet: Mark, can I say something?
Mark: Yeah.
Juliet: I know you're Peter's best friend and I know you've never particularly warmed to me. Look, don't... don't argue. We've never got friendly. But I just wanted to say, I hope that can change. I'm nice. I really am. Apart from my terrible taste in pie and... It would be great if we could be friends.
Mark: Absolutely.
Juliet: Great.
Mark: Doesn't mean we'll be able to find the video, though. I had a real search when you first called and couldn't any trace of it, so...
Juliet: Well, there's one here that says "Peter and Juliet's Wedding". Do you think we might be on the right track?

Teenage drama queen
OK, so my parents have volunteered again for a Korean student and I'm not exactly thrilled. As a teenage drama queen, I made the resolution to give the silent treatment. That lasted about 2 hours.
Also, I got some sleepers ,which I hope I'll be allowed to wear at school. I'm looking for recipes for face masks, but I can't find any good ones. Angie, where did you get yours?

I Believe by Savage Garden
I believe the sun should never set upon an argument
I believe we place our happiness in other people's hands
I believe that junk food tastes so good because it's bad for you
I believe your parents did the best job they knew how to do
I believe that beauty magazines promote low self esteem
I believe I'm loved when I'm completely by myself alone
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye
I believe you can't control or choose your sexuality
I believe that trust is more important than monogamy
I believe your most attractive features are your heart and soul
I believe that family is worth more than money or gold
I believe the struggle for financial freedom is unfair
I believe the only ones who disagree are millionaires
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye
I believe forgiveness is the key to your unhappiness
I believe that wedded bliss negates the need to be undressed
I believe that God does not endorse TV evangelists
I believe in love surviving death into eternity
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye

Walking away lyrics by Craig David
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better day
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better day
I'm walking away
Sometimes some people get me wrong, when it's something
I've said or done
Sometimes you feel there is no fun, that's why you turn and run
But now I truly realise, some people don't wanna compromise
Well, I saw them with my own eyes spreading those lies, and
Well I don't wanna live my life, too many sleepless nights
Not mentioning the fights, I'm sorry to say lady
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better day
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better day
I'm walking away Well, I'm so tired baby
Things you say, you're driving me away
Whispers in the powder room baby, don't listen to the games they play
Girl I thought you'd realise, I'm not like them other guys
Cos I saw them with my own eyes, you should've been more wise and
Well I don't wanna live my life, too many sleepless nights
Not mentioning the fights, I'm sorry to say lady
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better day
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better dayI'm walking away
